From Pleasanton to Ukraine: SFRM Youth Package Thousands of Meals
Last Saturday, our A M A Z I N G San Francisco Regional Mensa Gifted Youth team, led by our Youth Member-at-Large, Brandon, came together with our families to package meals at Kids Against Hunger (KAH) Bay Area in Pleasanton.
Maurice’s Experience Writing a Book and Having an Art Exhibition
Maurice may only be six, but his long interest in art originated when his mom found out the extent to which he was creative when he was very young – which turned out to be as huge as an ocean. It is not only his creativity that stands out; it is his singular observation skills that are key to his success.

Gusts of Fun and Discovery at the Randall!
On Saturday, May 24th, 2025, it was a super windy day! Four Mensa families and one potential family came to the Randall Museum for a fun playdate.
GYs Making (Computer) History at the Museum
On August 16, San Francisco Regional Mensa Gifted Youth families enjoyed an outing at the Computer History Museum in Silicon Valley. The group was led on an exclusive docent-led tour, which provided engaging explanations and interesting factoids about the evolution of technology.
SFRM Playdates WhatsApp Groups
We’re excited to share that Mensa families now have a couple of WhatsApp groups where parents can connect and coordinate playdates. These groups aren’t part of the official Gifted Youth program, but they’re a fun and informal way for parents of GYs and Mensa members with children to stay in touch.

Redefining Success: A Multi-Faceted Career Journey
Lisa Sticca-Conrod has worn many hats throughout her life: professor, lawyer, entrepreneur, curriculum designer, nonprofit leader, coach, and tutor. Her background spans education, law, publishing, advocacy, and psychology. She also returned to school later in life to study educational psychology and neurodiversity so she could better understand her twice-exceptional daughter. Her career shows that you do not have to choose just one path. You can explore many different directions and still build a meaningful and fulfilling life.
