DECEMBER 2024

Twenty-six kids aged 3 to 17 joined in on the fun at San Francisco Regional Mensa’s 2024 Regional Gathering Brilliance by the North Bay in San Rafael.  The older teens got to explore the conference, attend cool speaker sessions, and grab tasty snacks. Meanwhile, the younger kids had a blast in the Homeroom with tons of fun activities:

  • Games and Puzzles: Kids could play games or solve puzzles alone or with friends.
  • SFRM MOMA (Museum of Mensan Art): They created an amazing wall of art, showcasing their creativity!
  • Crafting Galore: With glitter pens, markers, stickers, and jewels, they made beautiful crafts.
  • Building Fun: Kids built awesome structures with Lego and even designed and flew paper airplanes!
  • Cup Towers & Projectiles: They constructed towers with cups and engineered fun projectiles using pens and popsicle sticks.

Group Activities That Sparked Excitement!

Throughout the day, everyone came together for some thrilling group activities:

  • Brain Games: Kids eagerly raised their hands to answer tricky puzzles and show off their trivia knowledge!
  • Lego Olympics: Partners teamed up to build tall towers and robots—who could build the highest?
  • CSI Mystery: In a fun twist on detective work (without any scary stuff), kids scrambled around to find clues and solve a mystery!

Lunchtime Fun!

Lunchtime was filled with chatter as kids couldn’t wait to get back to their activities. They were so engaged that some were overheard asking when they could return to the Homeroom!

By the end of the day, the GY kids were still buzzing with excitement and ready for more. We’re already dreaming about next year’s gathering in 2025! We hope to see all of you there for another fantastic adventure! 🎉
