Career Conversations for Gifted Youth is an engaging live webinar series featuring interesting discussions with professionals from all walks of life and different industries. Each session offers a unique insider’s perspective on what’s needed to succeed in different fields.

The topic for this recorded session is Aerospace Engineering. Hear from two aerospace engineers, Dr. Swati Saxena and Brad Lucht as they share their insights and experience.

While you may be under the impression that aerospace engineering is limited to building rockets and planes, there’s actually a lot more to it than you think!  Learn about what being an aerospace engineer entails and what it takes to become one from experts in the field.

SPEAKERS

Dr. Swati Saxena is an Aerospace Engineer and Project Manager from NASA Ames Research Center. She has done research in turbomachinery aerodynamics and high-fidelity modeling/simulation. She also holds 2 patents and has 30 technical publications. Mr.

Brad Lucht has 35 years in the defense industry, working on rockets, missiles, space motors, and supercolliders. He also hosts the Theodore Talks national lecture series for American Mensa.

Hosted by Brandon Kong, San Francisco Regional Mensa Youth Member-at-Large. He’s an aspiring engineer with a passion for all things cars.
