Ronald Baraze
The Technology of Space
Discussion of scientific space-based instruments developed at Lockheed Martin over the last 30 years in collaboration with world-wide universities. Includes instrumentation on current NOAA weather satellites providing lightning detection for tornado forecasting and wildfire reporting, testing Einstein’s gravitational theories, space dust measurements, and other science payloads.
Ronald Baraze has worked on 26 science-based space-flight projects at Lockheed Martin since 1984, starting when he was a sophomore in high school. Post-college, he has worked full-time for Lockheed Martin, taking projects from cradle-to-grave (proposal, development, integration, launch, operations, to decommissioning).
