What Lights You Up? Write It!

What sparks your interest? In this hands-on workshop, youth participants will choose a topic they care about, develop a strong hook, and shape their ideas into a short, engaging article. Finished pieces can be submitted to “The Bright Side,” San Francisco Regional Mensa’s youth publication, for consideration in a future issue. Approved work may also qualify for volunteer service hours.

Amari Sims is a high school sophomore, Lead Editor of “The Bright Side,” and Gifted Youth Member-at-Large for San Francisco Regional Mensa. He also writes the monthly “Amari’s Perspective” column for “The Intelligencer,” San Francisco Regional Mensa’s member publication. Amari has served as a keynote speaker and panelist at regional and national events.
