The Future of Biomimetics and Soft Robotics in AI

The pace of AI is advancing at an unprecedented rate; however, there is a large gap between a human and an AI assistant. In the human body, neurotransmitter levels in the 10th cranial nerve are crucial for emotional regulation. Furthermore, the flexibility of the epidermis or the compression of ball-and-socket joints in the knees make an individual’s locomotion natural.

AI has lots of room for improvement, and the future of expressive AI lies at the intersection of biology and robotics.
