San Francisco Regional Mensa

San Francisco Regional Mensa (SFRM) will hold its Regional Gathering at the Hilton Pleasanton at The Club. This is the weekend before Thanksgiving, November 16-18, 2012. The hotel is at the intersection of Interstate highways 680 and 580, with easy access from the entire San Francisco Bay Area of California. To volunteer for the event, contact , the 2012 RG chair.

Call the Hilton reservations number above and mention San Francisco Regional Mensa. The $84/night rate for a standard 1 king bed or two double bed room is available for up to three days prior to and three days after the RG. NOTE: The hotel has extended the deadline for the RG rate to November 5.

The hotel will pick you up ONLY from the Dublin/Pleasanton BART station.

Evangelicals claim that God speaks to them. Dr. Luhrmann will talk about how for some people this is an expression of their reality, rather than simply a metaphor for piety.

Local Events

We are hosting a uniquely Mensa wine event on Saturday afternoon.

A free guided tour of the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory Discovery Center is scheduled for Saturday at 10am. Participants will meet at 9:30 to form carpools. The tour will last 45 minutes to an hour, and there is a free gift provided. Space is limited to 20 and sign ups are on a first come basis, so reserve your place now by .
